DIY: Hat Rack

Friday, April 26, 2013
1. Get pine boards at your local Home Depot (they will cut them for you any size you please.)  I chose to make mine 37in long.

2.  Paint the board any color you desire.  Then sand it down so it looks slightly old.  (For paint, simply purchase a sample size-ts more than plenty!)

3. Use a stencil & place on the board & paint!

4. Finished piece after stenciling.

5. Use D-hooks on the back on either side to hang the rack.  Do this before screwing knobs onto the front.

6. Measure the knobs so that they are evenly placed from each other.  (If you make yours 37 in, place the 2 outside knobs 5in away from the end & 9in apart from each other.)

7. Finished product!

Holla!  Its Friday friends.  So, I have a LOT of hats that just pile up in my closet.  For quite some time now I've been trying to figure out how to display them in my room.  Afterall, they are quite pretty!  I decided to make a hat rack for them.  Its a simple project you can do over the weekend in no time at all!  Gather all the necessary items & tools needed & follow the step-by-step instructions.  Voila!  You now will have a very nice rack to display all your pretty hats & scarves...& really anything else you please.  Happy crafting.
